Melissa Ferrick
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Friday, April 1st
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $15 &nsp;   21+over

Intensely personal songs that dig deep emotionally and come up with pain in one hand and hope in the other. Ferrick's gritty realism sets her apart from wishy-washy Lilith Fair-heads. Anchored in acoustic guitar, her music sometimes incorporates fulsome rock elements and even violin. On tour for her new album The Other Side, released last year.

SONS OF CHAMPLIN
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Saturday, April 2nd
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $22 &nsp;   21+over

Few bands stand the test of time and Sons of Champlin is among the elite. Never quite fitting into a single genre, the band fuses jazz, '70s funk, blues and rock. The frontman for the Sons of Champlin, Bill Champlin, has been a member of the group Chicago since 1982. Bill is also a Grammy Award winning songwriter and solo recording artist. He has received songwriting Grammies for hits "After The Love Is Gone" by Earth, Wind, & Fire and "Turn Your Love Around" by George Benson. In 2000 the SF Chronicle listed the Sons of Champlin as one of the top 20 all time favorite Bay Area bands.

Jesse Winchester
Poster Produced by Honey Graham

Monday, April 6th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $20     All Ages

Winchester is a freakishly talented singer-songwriter who fled the United States for Canada in 1967 after he was drafted to service in Vietnam War. Vocal gifts and songwriting talent rarely come together the way they do in Winchester. Raised in Memphis, he sings in a keening tenor infused with the spirit of the place where country, blues and soul come together. At the same time, his songs reveal a short-story writer's eye for detail and a poet's sense of metaphor. His first record, released in 1970, was produced by Robbie Robertson of the Band, and since then he's released records sparingly, but steadily. Winchester's exile has no doubt contributed to the fact that he's not a bigger star, but it hasn't prevented other folks from recording his songs. He's been covered by vast array of singers, including Tim Hardin and Wynonna Judd, and is a favorite of the discerning, slightly offbeat country act the Mavericks, as well as mainstream artists such as Reba McEntire.

The BoDeans - CD Release Party!
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Thursday, 4/7
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $25     18+

The best singing and songwriting partnerships involve a respectful give and take—whether it’s in the trading of lyrical or melodic ideas, an exchange of guitar riffs or the blending of vocal harmonies. Sam Llanas and Kurt Neumann initiated such a partnership more 20 years ago. As frontmen for the BoDeans, one of the premier American roots-rock bands, they forged a signature sound based on heartfelt lyrics, passionate harmonies and ringing guitars.

YOUNG DUBLINERS
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Saturday, April 9th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $15 &nsp;   18+over

The guitar-rocking Young Dubliners see nothing wrong with putting guitar power ballads, a '70s retread and Irish reels into the same mix. They’ve been pounding the jam-band circuit long enough to find their own distinctive sound and rhythm -- not to mention, a label, a great producer and a fan base. You've seen mosh pits, but have you seen the jig pit? Not unless you've been to a Dubliners show. A jam band for the hard-rocking, Celtic-music-loving, stage-diving set, the Young Dubliners keep their shows tight, high-energy and unscripted.

The Yonder Mountain String Band
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Sunday, March 10th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $20     18+

The blue grass revolution, where old-time instrumentation is hitched to new and non-traditional songs is the foundation of YMSB. This is a jam band, but one without the typical electric instruments. YMSB noodles with acoustic instruments and fleet fingered fingerpickin. Their vocal harmonies are almost as precise as their picking!

“the group specializes in clean, crisp picking that reaches the far limits of endurance… THREE STARS!” -Daily News (Los Angeles, CA)

The Samples
Poster Produced by Honey Graham

Monday, April 11th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $15     All Ages

Radios station The Krush 95.5FM Party with The Samples!

The Samples are a Folk-Jam Rock type of band, but you don't need to have dirty feet or live in a dorm room in order to dig the Samples. After a major label wrote them off as a simple Jam Rock outfit, the band simply gained success through grassroots promotion and extensive college town tours. The Samples manage to retain their own sound within jazzy pop ditties, extended groove jams, and cascading love songs with harmonies that will stick in your head all day long. The Samples are a sure crowd pleaser with a little something for everyone.

SOUTH AUSTIN JUG BAND
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Saturday, April 16th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $10 &nsp;   18+over

If you're gonna play acoustic neo-bluegrass, you better have some good wood to swing when you step up to the plate. SAJB certainly meets that requirement with chops aplenty and some darn good songs under their belts. What's especially gratifying about SAJB is that they never turn into an acoustic jam band, instead keeping their songs concise and their solos short and to the point. God bless South Austin, and God bless the South Austin Jug Band!

Luce
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Saturday, 4/23
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $12     18+

LUCE'S new CD - "Never ending" - will officially be in stores across the U.S. on April 19. This show will be a CD Release Party for the new release!

At the center of the San Francisco based six-piece band, Luce, is singer/songwriter Tom Luce. Their first album began getting attention from both local radio and fans and blossomed into radio airplay all over the nation even before landing a major record deal. Their work ethic, unconventional style, and catchy tunes, exemplified by the hit "Good Day", assure Luce a position as one of the hot new bands to watch. The new album proves just as good, possibly even better.

Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Friday & Saturday, May 6th & 7th 2 SHOWS!
Doors 8:45pm/Show 9:45pm    $25 &nsp;   18+over

Guitarist Steve Kimock has dedicated his life to the mastery of his instruments and the exploration of new paradigms of rhythm, tone, and melody. Over the years, besides being touted as Jerry Garcia’s "favorite unknown guitar player," Kimock enjoyed touring and/or recording with Vince Welnick, Phil Lesh and Friends and Bruce Hornsby. For more than 25 years, audiences come to experience the vivid musical imagination of the players, celebrate the power of sound that moves the soul, and share in the thrill of new music created nightly in his amazing live performances.

Montrose
Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Friday, May 19th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $25 &nsp;   21+over

Guitar Player centerfold Ronnie Montrose honed his chops backing rock 'n' roll mucky-mucks Edgar Winter Guitarist Ronnie Montrose began his career as a backing musician, playing with Van Morrison, and Boz Skaggs before forming his own band. Famous primarily for being Sammy Hagar's first band, Montrose slipped into cult status after Hagar's departure. Undaunted, Ronnie Montrose has kept a full schedule releasing instrumental jazz/rock fusions on par with Joe Satriani's guitar pop and Adrian Belew's solo work. I think the highlight is watching Ronnie Montrose play. He really smokes on every song. In terms of straight ahead rockers, Montrose just seems to stand tall above the crowd.

Hot Tuna - Electric

Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Sunday, June 5th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $28 &nsp;   18+

You all know Hot Tuna is a spin-off group from the Jefferson Airplane, formed by childhood friends Jorma Kaukonen (guitar, vocals) and Jack Casady (bass). Well the guys are back on tour with their electric four-piece band. The line-up is Jorma, Jack, Barry Mitterhoff, and Eric Diaz. Their music is still just as clear and clean as ever. Hot Tuna electric is a mixture of rock, folk, blues, and improvisational music, which defies a category. A bit louder, than normal, but a sure crowd pleaser! You can check out the band live June 5th.

Tower of Power

Poster Produced by Honey Graham
Sunday, October 16th
Doors 7:00pm/Show 8:00pm    $28 &nsp;   All Ages!

With over 30 years of recording and touring experience behind them, Tower of Power still garners rave reviews. Melding jazz, funk, rock and soul in a way no group ever has. Over the past few years Tower of Power has added new members and a fresh outlook, but the band has always remained true to itself and to its soul music roots, never failing to please audiences. As a reviewer from the Fort Worth Star Telegram recently wrote, "If you see someone sitting still at a Tower of Power concert, don't bother checking their pulse -- they're already dead!"
